What I WORE: “Holiday In Switzerland”

I just came back from a quick trip to Switzerland with my family just to celebrate my birthday..
I’d like it to be laidback..
Nothing fancy..
No PARTYING in a club..
Or house party..
No BIGGIE.. haha!
Ofcourse I’m kidding..
It may seem like it’s SWITZERLAND but it’s just around the corner..
I did celebrate my birthday with family (TRUE.)
It’s in this amazing place around Tagaytay which is just a coupleof hours drive from home..
This stunning place is Cross Winds Resort Suites..
That BAGUIO breeze..(with a bit of The Wax Museum movie feel..) haha
The Switzerland inspired houses and establishments..
The PINE TREES..
The amazing view from our Balcony..
It’s just cuuraazzeey!
All for an affordable prize from AGODA.COM

So of course I won’t leave that place without having a walk around and an outfit shoot..
Good thing that I brought along this amazingly thick CARDIGAN from Topman which looks very HOLIDAY-ish..
Then I paired it with my PINSTRIPED TOP (vintage shop) and a dark blue TROUSERS from Bangkok..
Then I opt to make this look more fun with these very reliable SNEAKS from Topman as well..

and I’d like to thank a couple of people who gave me presents for my special day..
my very own TEAM louie who gave me this BLACK LEATHER BAG with belt details..
and these amazing AVIATORS from choochee..
Not everyone knows that I don’t buy expensive eyewear because I’d really feel bad if it gets lost or damaged in my bag..
But this is the most expensive gift that I’ve received in my whole life..
So I am really really happy that someone gave me something that is this much.. (Louis Vuitton please in the future!) haha..
Anyway here are some of the shots from that amazing trip..

What I WORE: “Forever Summer”

When I was a kid I hated the beach..
Maybe it’s because of how I can’t enjoy the water since there are no slides..
Or its not that colorful..
And that I feel sticky right after.. haha!
but things have changed when we GROW UP.
the SAND.. WAVES and the SUN creates that stress busting ambiance into each of our SUMMER vacation.
Anyway last week my cousin and I finally went to a beach and enjoy the amazing weather in the country. We we’re rooting for BORACAY however I felt like it was not feasible due to the lack of preparation. So the nearest most accessible place to go to is CANYON COVE.

We’ve been there plenty of times..
The good thing with this place is that..
The beach is just a few steps away from the hotel..
The pool is big enough to accommodate everyone (so it isn't crowded)
though it's not that fancy like the infinity pool of AQUATICO and Hamilo Coast Pico De Loro (which is sadly exclusive for members only..)
CANYON COVE is just perfect for our little getaway.

So since the location is just really cool I made sure that I got my outfits ready for shooting. For this first look I’ve decided to be really casual and comfy at the same time. I chose this old SHORT SLEEVED PLAID paired with this fitted navy blue SHORTS both from (Folded&Hung). Then to add a little DAPPER feel I chose to wear this cool HAT (Bench) and this LEATHER SANDALS (Bangkok).

The key to this whole look is having the RIGHT FIT of clothes and choosing the right COLORS & PRINTS and lastly ACCESSORIES.

STALKER’s SHOPPING GUIDE: “Flower Power” This SUMMER.

I’ve gone around some shops over the past weekend to check out some must have’s this coming SUMMER – I’m sure most of you guys are already planning for a summer getaway and I’m sure you guys would want to take photos of what you’re wearing that day. It’s OOTD time again!

So for my first stop. It's Forever 21 men.

I just love the fact that this shop is just affordable. I mean it’s not cheap but definitely the quality of the clothes is just great.

They have cool printed tanks.. boat shoes and floral printed bags that are just DOPE!

Espadrilles are still very much SUMMER worthy!

Then I checked out ZARA. The good thing with this brand is that you can never go wrong with the quality and the textiles that they produce. The only thing is that the price can sometimes be too much. Anyways I found this adorable floral printed varsity jacket and i died.

Next stop is the U.K brand TOPMAN. There's no doubt that this brand is just trendy and dapper at the same time. The fit of clothes are just right for Asian guys like us. So I went around and checked out this floral printed baseball shirt and some really cool hats fit for summer.

Then I also checked out COTTON ON. This brand is just affordable and budget friendly. Perfect for STUDENTS who would want to dress their way up to SUCCESS. Anyways the sad news is that I only found these shorts cool and nothing else.(for men at least..)

There's this shop called H.E for MANGO that I checked out. They have more matured Items in their shops. The price is a little too much as well (if you are on a budget) but I could definitely tell that their goods are done with quality. So I checked them out and found this nice colored blazer which is perfect for school or for work.. or a picnic on a sunny day perhaps? and not to mention these adorable espadrilles.

Then let's go local with a few of my favorites. First stop is OXYGEN. This brand just keeps pushing them selves to the edge with their high fashion ensembles and pieces. My favorite was this Aztec printed bag. It is just so cool. Definitely perfect for that beach outing plan of yours this SUMMER.

Next one is BENCH. I have to be honest (I love bench..) but their clothes do need a little tweaking here and there.. however the underwear designs of Bench in undeniably good and affordable. So I found some cool floral printed bags instead perfect for SUMMER classes!
and I found some cool shoes too that you guys could use for school as well..It may not be beach friendly but i think it would look good on (bright colored) shorts too.

Then I visited PENSHOPPE as well. They normally would have good quality of long sleeved polos and jackets (that I would normally look for..) however sadly I only found some cute beach shorts that are affordable.

So this SUMMER just make sure that you guys find the right fit and a piece that fits your budget. Just buy something that is needed and necessary. Lastly just find the right amount of prints will you please? haha.. so that's it for now!

Enjoy SHOPPING Stalkers!

What I WORE: Boots Scootin Baby

Hi STALKERS!

It's that time of the week again where I share fashion tips for my readers. This week's look is just simple since I just want to showcase this newly bought boots of mine from "TRODS". Im just really fascinated that I got these for less than a thousand pesos (actually it's P999) this past weekend from a mall in Alabang. I'm the type of guy who loves buying clothes but I'm not the type who would splurge. Im just really proud that Im a good hunter on "ON SALE" pieces with good quality.
So I've decided to wear something monochromatic (all items in one hue/color) from top to trousers for this look so that I could show off this amazing "BOOTS" inspired by Mr. Bieber haha. -- anyway for the top I wore this old piece of mine which is my functional "DENIM" coat and paired it with a dark blue tank and my very functional chinos (OXYGEN) and a grey bag to match my new shoes. Just accessorized them with my usual eyewear and a classic brown watch.
Just as usual I make sure that my whole look is not all over the place by not having too much prints or color. Lastly don't forget to buy something that has both good quality and something that you could mix and match with most of your outfits.

What I WORE: “Classic Vs. Trendy”

Ever since my college days – dressing up has been a big part of who I am.. and discovering one’s own unique style definitely takes time. The big challenge for me back then was availability of “funds” –and im sure most students could relate to this. Well back then I would always invest on a good pair of “DENIM JEANS” (P400 from Bench if its on sale) and a couple of plain black and white shirts – then I’d usually go to “Vintage Shops” or what we call “Ukay-Ukay” to find amazingly cheap “Jackets”. I just usually work on the styling to make it my own. Lastly the biggest challenge for me back then was buying  “SHOES”—there wasn’t enough (cheap) brands to choose from back then since my shoe size was size 11 already back in college. I was just thankful that I had relatives in the U.S who were kind enough to send me pairs of shoes at least once or twice a year.

So my point is that it took me awhile to build my closet - It all started with looking for basic pieces with the right fit.. and then after that’s the time when you should buy “TREND”y stuff so you could easily mix and match all your basics with the trendy ones -- Since “TRENDS” are usually “FADS” or “CRAZE”; things that won’t last that long because they are only popular for a short period of time (not good investments)
Anyways here’s what I wore that I’d like to share with y’all –I started this look with The classics / basic ones like the Brown Jacket that I got on SALE (Penshoppe) and plain dark blue trousers (from Bangkok)and of course my plastic eyewear that I brought from a TIANGGE. All of these are pretty much basics which could be worn a thousand times with a whole kind of looks –all with GOOD quality and they are crazy AFFORDABLE.
Then let’s talk about the “TREND” – starts with this micro printed long sleeved top (from BANGKOK) –looks pretty basic but the micro prints make it such a fad. Then these brown boots (also from Bangkok) that I accessorized with these printed socks (from OXYGEN) to create that edgy vibe to my usual preppy look.
So my challenge to you guys is to invest on basic items (which shouldn’t be expensive)-so that you have a working closet which has pieces that you could mix and match for the years to come. Just make sure that you get the right fit and quality and Im sure that you’re on your way to the STYLISH person that you could be.

Special Thanks to my little sister Lovely Faundo for taking these shots on the amazing Manila Film Center.

Have fun reading and dressing up STALKERS!
