What I WORE: HOLIDAY in BLACK.

They say that HOLIDAY’s require warmer colors such as RED..

But I’d say get out of the box and wear something dark..

Like BLACK..

Black is the absence of COLOR..

Absence of LIGHT..

So for my third look for the holidays I’ve prepared something perfect for my younger readers..

I’m wearing a BLACK ensemble which is very SPORTY and DAPPER at the same time..

The Key Pieces here are the VARSITY JACKET (Blued) paired with DARK PANTS (Bangkok)..

As I always tell you guys - a TOP and TROUSERS that are in the same hue makes us look taller and slimmer.. haha!

 Then I chose this dressy BROWN BROGUES (SM Department Store) then PRINTED SOCKS..

Notice how the printed socks with a pop of color makes everything youthful and fun..

And lastly this cute BAG that looks like a “BAON-an” haha!

Got this from our trip to Bangkok a year ago..

I just felt like it would look cute.. you know?haha..

This look is perfect for a School Christmas party..

Or a date out with friends..

Something casual and comfy – not too stiff but would look great for guys in school.

What I WORE: Casual in Red..

One day I was going over my files then I found this look shoot that I did a couple of months ago..

And yes I was wearing this RED BLAZER that is perfect for the holiday season!

So since a lot of my readers are asking for some tips or look/s that they could try wearing then I guess this is the perfect time to blog this out..

So I have a few looks to share on how you could go a little bold in red this season.. 

We have two main pieces for this look RED BLAZER & RED PANTS..



1.   So for the first look it’s the BLAZER x TANK TOP x CROPPED DENIM SHORTS

2. Our second look is the same look + fedora hat – Noticed how this look changed by just adding a hat? So sometimes accessories like such ads a huge impact to your whole look..

3. Next on our list is RED BLAZER x PRINTED SHIRT – (yes it's a throwback) this is still one of my favorites it still falls as a casual look but more appropriate for a date out with friends or a loved one. Noticed how dressy pants create that “GWAPO” vibe for guys..?

4. Now here’s a look where I’ve used both RED BLAZER x RED PANTS –kinda extreme for men but if Daniel Padilla pulled it off during the Star Magic ball then you can too! 

5. Here's how I wore those red pants a year ago during an event - Paired it with neutral tones and minimal print.

Editor's Note: Fear is REAL.

It’s been a while since our last cover was out..

and It was STALK’s first ever BEAUTY issue with Beth Faustino on the cover and my dear friend Kimberly Aguirre who was in-charge of the beauty area of the shoot..

It was also my first time to create the whole wardrobe for that said shoot..

Remember that skirt made out of plastic cover? yes that was made by yours truly,,

Now I’m so proud to tell you guys that Beth is already pregnant!

That shoot was such a blessing.. congratulations Beth!

Anyway we are off to a new start!

As we celebrate our second year as an online magazine..

we look back.. learn.. and celebrate!

When I started STALK last summer of 2012 It was just something that I’d like to do for fun..

Then I started meeting people and featuring them on the cover..

Some are my friends..

Some applied online..

Some are discoveries through facebook..

And some are people at work..

It’s TRUE that when you put your heart into something – NOTHING is IMPOSSIBLE.

My DREAMS are so SCARY..

Because they are soo HUGE..

But I know that in GOD’s perfect timing - everything will all fall into place.. (fingers crossed!)

So for our last hurrah we are doing another cover for all the members of the LGBT community (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) –

Who we’re all in shock when the news broke out about a transgender who was allegedly killed by this man from the U.S Marines..

and that thought of FEAR just became a REALITY..

that fear of not being protected by our own LAWS..

that fear on INJUSTICE..

Since last year’s cover with Jaja was about gay rights..

and since then nothing has actually changed..

GAY people are still not protected by any law..

It is just DISSAPPOINTING..

So I hope that through our cover which tackles such issues..

We could contribute and raise an awareness about what’s going on in the country today.

Anyway I am proud to announce that the beautiful person in our cover for our year-end issue is my colleague and friend Dindz Teston who is PROUD and OUT.

What I WORE: “Holiday In Switzerland”

I just came back from a quick trip to Switzerland with my family just to celebrate my birthday..

I’d like it to be laidback..

Nothing fancy..

No PARTYING in a club..

Or house party..

No BIGGIE.. haha!

Ofcourse I’m kidding..

It may seem like it’s SWITZERLAND but it’s just around the corner..

I did celebrate my birthday with family (TRUE.)

It’s in this amazing place around Tagaytay which is just a coupleof hours drive from home..

This stunning place is Cross Winds Resort Suites..

That BAGUIO breeze..(with a bit of The Wax Museum movie feel..) haha

The Switzerland inspired houses and establishments..

The PINE TREES..

The amazing view from our Balcony..

It’s just cuuraazzeey!

All for an affordable prize from AGODA.COM

So of course I won’t leave that place without having a walk around and an outfit shoot..

Good thing that I brought along this amazingly thick CARDIGAN from Topman which looks very HOLIDAY-ish.. 

Then I paired it with my PINSTRIPED TOP (vintage shop) and a dark blue TROUSERS from Bangkok..

Then I opt to make this look more fun with these very reliable SNEAKS from Topman as well..

and I’d like to thank a couple of people who gave me presents for my special day..

my very own TEAM louie who gave me this BLACK LEATHER BAG with belt details..

and these amazing AVIATORS from choochee..

Not everyone knows that I don’t buy expensive eyewear because I’d really feel bad if it gets lost or damaged in my bag..

But this is the most expensive gift that I’ve received in my whole life..

So I am really really happy that someone gave me something that is this much.. (Louis Vuitton please in the future!) haha..

Look Who’s STALK’n On Our Next Issue..

Last year STALK devoted one issue that addresses GAY RIGHTS..

And as we progress on our SECOND YEAR as an online magazine –we would like to continue the LEGACY and start ACTING on issues that has to be resolved..

STALK FEATURE: Denim Overload

Denim is a classic type of fabric that is normally used as pants or what we call jeans..

It is a piece that was normally worn by men in the past who often works in construction..

Every decade REINVENTION of denim has always took place..

BLAZER..

SHIRT..

POLOS..

BAG..

DRESS..

JUMPER..

FADED..

COLORED..

And a lot more..

Denim is something that everyone would love to wear because it’s comfortable and low maintenance..

A year ago I worked on a streetstyle project with a glossy magazine and promised some folks that I will post it on my blog if ever that it or it won’t come out of the magazine..

So here are some shots of these cool kids rocked their pair of denim..

EDITORIAL: “The BEAUTY Issue”

“BEAUTY is a CHARACTERISTIC that provides a perceptual experience of SATISFACTION or PLEASURE”

This is exactly how BEAUTY is defined by the dictionary..

It did not say that you have to be BLACK or WHITE..

TALL..

PRECKLED..

CURVY..

or THIN..

It did not even mention any specific detail on our FACE..

Yet a lot of us DON’T FEEL BEAUTIFUL inside and out..

Which does not make any SENSE..

A month and a half ago I saw this music video entitled “PRETTY HURTS”..

a perfect VISUAL of how PERFECTION is becoming a DISEASE of our NATION..

which I blogged about..

and It’s pretty fascinating that a lot of women felt the same way growing up..

and I knew from that point that our next issue should be about BEAUTY..

An issue that will INSPIRE women to embrace their INNER BEAUTY..

Then I had that VISION..

I knew that It’s time for my good friend KIM to be on the SPOTLIGHT..

I’ve known KIM since college and I’ve seen how she has evolved from the SIMPLE girl who does not seem to care about how she looks like to a woman of BEAUTY and SUBSTANCE..

She has been doing MAKE-UP for quite some time and has collaborated with STALK with some of our previous issues..   

She shared with us that did not feel BEAUTIFUL when she was growing up -- which greatly affected her SELF-ESTEEM..

Because of this thinking she thought that she would NOT be able to reach her DREAMS at all..

Looking back at how things we’re before she realized that she was NOT UGLY after all..

She adds..

“Di pa lang USO beauty ko nun”      

Kim feels that BEAUTY is a COMBINATION of a KIND HEART and INTELLIGENCE..

which is hard to maintain and needs to be BALANCED.

She shares that in order for her to CONQUER this mindset of being UNPRETTY she had to SURROUND herself with BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE with HUMBLE HEARTS..

POSITIVE MINDS and APPRECIATIVE FRIENDS..

And lastly your own FAMILY who would always PUSH you up no matter what..

And through this BEAUTY issue I am sure that GOD’s purpose is for KIM is to 

“INSPIRE others who refuse to believe in their TRUE BEAUTY”

Let’s get to know more about our COVER GIRL:

“I never imagined myself posing for a magazine like this”

This was our cover girl’s reaction when she saw the final layout for the cover.. (which ofcourse made us soo happy.. haha)

Beth is a common friend of mine through STALK’s previous plus size cover girl Daryl Brecio..  

I bumped into her again 27weeks ago during Daryl’s wedding..

Her radiant skin..

Beautiful face..

And inviting aura made us feel that she is a cover girl material..

Whenever I meet a potential model for STALK I would immediately have a VISION..

Yeah! Kinda like Proffessor X (X-men) or Alice (Twilight Saga).. haha!

I would have a view of the future..

my CONCEPT..

then the models FACE..

and then FIREWORKS happen!

This is exactly how it happened when I saw BETH..

So we asked her on her thoughts about BEAUTY..

She adds..

“Being beautiful is being confident.. it is showing who you really are without any pretentions, inhibitions and it’s all about ACCEPTING what GOD gave you”

BEAUTY SECRETS:

she maintains this perfect skin by going to a dermatologist atleast once a month..

Her BEAUTY must-haves would be a FACIAL WASH..

TONER..

And SUNBLOCK..

she also suggests HYDRATING your skin by drinking lots of water..

For MAKE-UP she prefers a CHEEK TINT, LIPBALM and FACE POWDER on a regular day..

So I hope that this issue may conclude that at the end of the day..

“YOU just got to be YOU”

Enjoy LIFE for you are GOD’s wonderful creation and that you are PATTERNED in his LIKENESS..

YOU will always be WONDERFUL!

What I WORE: Animal Print On Guys..

A couple of months ago I saw this friend of mine who was wearing a LEOPARD printed pants from Forever 21 men..

And I started to ask myself “Can I pull this look off?”..

My mind was screaming NOOOOOO.. haha

but I got challenged..

can men pull off an ANIMAL PRINT?

my answer today is YES..

but this is not the kind of animal print that women wear..

it’s more of a PHOTO PRINT..

Anyway let me show you instead..

I bought this TANK from a bazaar near my office for a very cheap price..

because I like the SWAG of this shirt and the QUALITY as well..

So for today’s look I’m wearing this dark blue SPORTY JACKET matched with TROUSERS with the same color..

then this CHEETAH PRINTED TANK..

paired the whole look with this cool RUBBER SHOES (Topman) ..

lastly I added some ACCESSORIES such as EYE GLASSES and a WRISTWATCH to complete the whole look..

So that’s it for this week’s what I wore feature..

Just remember that when using OVERPOWERING PRINTS on your outfit ensure that there are minimal stuff that’s going on with the whole look..

Like how I made sure that the jacket and pants are in the SAME SHADE and how the COLORS of the shoes won’t go against the whole point of this look..

Hi STALKERS! (yes, I mean readers..)

About a month ago I wrote something about BEAUTY..

and on how PERFECTION is a DISEASE of our NATION..

I got INSPIRED by Beyonce’s video PRETTY HURTS..

It’s about how we all wanted to do CRAZY stuff just to FIT IN..

So I wanted to work on a COVER shoot that would actually address this HUGE ISSUE of BEAUTY..

Lemme ask YOU..

What is BEAUTIFUL for you?

ANSWERING this for you is my ASPIRATION in LIFE..

HELP CHANGE the way we SEE what is BEAUTIFUL..

“I think people who are the happiest are the most beautiful creatures on this planet."  

NOT the ones with ABS..

Or FINE BUTTS..

neither the ones with PERFECT NOSE..

or the ones who could buy JIMMY CHOO’s..

So be HAPPY..

ENJOY LIFE..

DO what makes YOU HAPPY..

LIVE IT..

OWN IT..
